Harga perak (XAG/USD) sempet mendekati $31 pada sesi Amerika pada Rabu (13/11) setelah rilis data Indeks Harga Konsumen (CPI) Amerika Serikat (AS) untuk bulan Oktober. Biro Statistik Tenaga Kerja (BLS) melaporkan bahwa tekanan harga tetap kuat karena inflasi tahunan meningkat menjadi 2,6% dari 2,4% pada bulan September.
CPI inti yang tidak termasuk harga pangan dan energi yang fluktuatif naik sesuai dengan estimasi dan rilis sebelumnya sebesar 3,3%. Secara bulanan, inflasi utama dan inti diperkirakan tumbuh masing-masing sebesar 0,2% dan 0,3%.
Tekanan harga yang kuat cenderung tidak memengaruhi spekulasi pasar untuk pemangkasan suku bunga Federal Reserve (Fed) pada bulan Desember karena para pejabat lebih khawatir mengenai pencegahan PHK, dengan keyakinan tinggi atas inflasi yang tetap berada di jalur menuju target bank sebesar 2%.
Pasca rilis data inflasi AS, Indeks Dolar AS (DXY) turun sedikit tetapi bertahan pada kenaikan 106,00. Imbal hasil obligasi pemerintah AS 10 tahun turun mendekati 4,38%.
